Hi I'm Mahir Khan and I plan to transfer to UCI next year to
major in Informatics. I was born and raised in England and moved to the States
last August. Apart from the posh Her Majesty's Queen's dialect and being heavy
tea drinkers, you may know the English love their Football (No, I won't call it
Soccer) and that is what I am passionate about. I love to watch, play, read,
write and do everything associated to football and my favorite team is
Liverpool Football Club, in case you were wondering what that bird was on right
hand side of the page. Before changing my major, I intended to take Law at the
University of Surrey, the 4th best University in England, however a change of
plan that transformed my life by moving here opened up a different avenue for
me personally. Rather than pursuing a career, I see journalism as a hobby which
is why I'm intrigued to be taking this course during the summer. I also have a
football blog where I post my opinions on the 'World of Football', so I hope to
increase my writing expertise in general. I look forward to what the next few
weeks will provide, but for now I'm glad to be back to what I enjoy doing best;
writing about the world around us.
